Jul 18, 2013 - From staff reportsLander Regional Hospital and Riverton Memorial Hospital have announced that Stephen M. Erixon will lead both hospitals on a permanent basis in a newly-created market chief executive officer position within LifePoint Hospitals, of which LRH and RMH are a part.
Erixon has been CEO of LRH since June 2012 and has served as CEO of RMH on an interim basis since January.
"I am very excited to see Steve expand his role and assume the position of market CEO for Lander Regional and Riverton Memorial," said Don Bivacca, Western Group president for LifePoint. "He has been an asset to both of these facilities over the last several months, increasing collaboration between the hospitals and enhancing the services they provide their communities."
Erixon holds a master of health administration degree from Duke University and a bachelor of arts degree in business economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is board-certified in health care management and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Before joining LRH, Erixon served as interim CEO for Rainy Lake Medical Center in International Falls, Minn., interim CEO at Memorial Hospital of Carbon County in Rawlins, president and CEO of Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson, Mo., and president and CEO of Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark.
