"Ride the Winds Poker Run 2013"
The Wind River Hotel and Casino hosts its annual poker run on Saturday, July 27.
Ride the Winds Poker Run Registration begins at 10 a.m., with the event starting at 2 p.m. The casino will match the amount raised during the event, and the winner will then select a charity to be the recipient of the donation.
All participants must be back at the Wind River Casino by 6 p.m. The winners will be announced at 7 p.m., with first place winning $500, second place $300 and third place $200.
A poker run is a fund-raising event where participants travel to five locations to receive a playing card. At the end of the run, the player with the best hand wins the grand prize and then select which charity will receive the donation.
In its fourth year, past recipients of the donation include the American Cancer Society.
At 8 p.m., the casino will also give away a 2013 Harley-Davidson CVO Breaktout to one winner. Players must swipe their Rewards Club Card at the Wind River Hotel and Casino to be entered into the drawing.
Extra entries will be given to players who use their Rewards Club Card while playing a slot machine or table game. Nine runners-up will receive $500.
The bike will be on display at the Fremont County Fair Parade, where casino staff will be handing out the poker run map. For more information about the poker run and to view a map of the stops, visit windriverhotelcasino.com.
