James Burrell of Riverton died at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, July 18, 2013.
He was 57 years old.
Cremation has taken place as was his wish. No services will be held.
James Franklin Burrell was born June 16, 1956 in Douglas, to Franklin Andrew and Norma Jean (Hageman) Burrell.
He attended schools in Douglas and graduated from Douglas High School with the class of 1974.
His family said that he liked to be on the move and had lived in Texas, Montana, Rock Springs, Douglas, Cody and Green River.
He had lived in Riverton for the last 11 years.
The family said "Jim had a big heart and gave all he had to many people. He was a loyal friend, loving husband and loved his family dearly. He will be missed by many."
On Jan. 1, 1995 he married Joni Arleen Selders in Cody.
He was a truck driver, heavy equipment operator and welder.
His family said he enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, hunting, camping, and cars.
He is survived by his wife, Joni Burrell; his father, Frank Burrell; his daughters, Janae (Allen) Archuleta and Bonnie (Mike) Horn; his sons, Jason Burrell, Jim (Traci Dunn) Selders and Dan (Erin) Selders; his sisters, Jeanne Burrell and Janet (Jim Jay) Hinckley; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Earl and Louise Black; his brother-in-law, Randy (Cindy) Black; his sister-in-law, Charlene (Jay) King; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Burrell.
