One-run loss at tournament ends Raiders' baseball season

The Riverton Raiders lost 13-12 to the Rawlins Generals on Friday afternoon in their American Legion baseball district tournament in Laramie.

Rawlins will now be the No. 4 seed for the state tournament. The season is finished for the Raiders.

Riverton had beaten Rawlins 8-5 on Thursday to begin the tournament. Evanston downed Riverton 15-3 in the next game.

Evanston will be the No. 3 seed for the state tournament after hammering Rawlins 16-1.

Laramie and Green River are playing a best-two-out-of three series for the No. 1 seed.

Green River won 8-5 over Laramie on Thursday. Laramie pounded Green River 17-6 on Friday. The two teams finished the series Saturday.
