Jul 24, 2013 - From staff reportsThe man who was the subject of a missing persons report last week was located in a Montana jail.
Officials say they found Roger Pierce, 75, of Pavillion, on Friday in Yellowstone County, Montana, according to the Fremont County Sheriff's Office. He reportedly was arrested by authorities in Montana and was booked into the Yellowstone County Detention Center on Sunday, July 14.
Local officials said he was charged with motor vehicle or traffic infractions.
The man was reported missing on Wednesday, July 17, but his family members said they had last seen him on Friday, July 12, at his home on Tunnel Hill Road.
On Friday, July 19, officials reportedly searched southern Fremont County via airplane, covering the Bison Basin and Oregon Buttes area looking for Pierce, who they thought may have gotten lost while trying to drive to Evanston.
Officials said Pierce may suffer from a condition that affects his mental judgment and decision-making abilities.
