Aug 6, 2013 - StaffDonald R. Varga died Wednesday, July, 24, 2013, at his home in Rock Springs. He was 72 years old.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Donald Ried Varga was born March, 14, 1941, in Milwaukee, the son of Lee and Jeanette (Anderson) Varga. They divorced and Mr. Varga was raised by his mother and stepfather, Russell Wenzel, in Hudson.
He attended schools in Lander and graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School with the class of 1959. After high school he served in the Army.
He was married three times and had five children.
He was a bus driver for most of his adult life working for Zanetti Bus and Fast Express in Lander, as a school bus driver and mechanic in Rock Springs, and for Le Bus in Rock Springs.
His family said he was a history buff,loved photography, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by stepbrother Mike (Lois) Wenzel of Chicago; sons R.C. Varga of Lander, Daniel (Brandi) Varga of Riverton, Chad Varga of Mountain View and Shane Yarrington of Michigan; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by hisparents; stepbrother Dale Wenzel; and daughter Anna Stocks.
