City of Riverton sells two lots for $72,000

Aug 8, 2013 - By Alejandra Silva, Staff Writer

Two lots for sale by the City of Riverton have found buyers.

The Riverton City Council approved to sell lots 4 and 7 at the regular city council meeting July 16. Lot 4 is in the Riverton Regional Airport Industrial Park, immediately next to and south of the new Fed-Ex Ground Facility on Airport Road.

It was sold for $42,000. UpRight Construction and Restoration Services LLC are the listed buyers and will share equally the closing and appraisal costs with the city.

The Wind River Park lot 7 was sold for $36,000 --also contingent upon appraisal --to Kyle Towns of Riverton.

The city's airport fund will receive $72,000 --after appraisal, real estate commission and closing costs-- from the sale of the lots.
