Atlantic City fest to feature local authors

Local authors will be featured at the first-ever Atlantic City Book Fest from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 24 at Miner's Delight Inn Bed & Breakfast.

The writers include:R00;

Barbara Townsend's pioneer trail mystery, "Blood Atonement," will be released by Writers AMuse Me Publishing on Aug. 22.

Marjane Ambler's "Yellowstone Has Teeth" was released by Riverbend Publishing on June 1.

Jon Lane and Susan Layman co-authored "South Pass City" and the "Sweetwater Mines."

Tom Bishop's collection of short stories, "The Great Mormon Cricket Fly-Fishing Festival and Other Western Stories," was published in 2007.

John Mionczynski first published "The Pack Goat" in 1992.

Betty Carpenter Pfaff retells the old-time tales of miners and others in and around Atlantic City in her two books, "Fine Gold" and "Atlantic City Nuggets."

Authors will read from their books and sign books for those who wish to purchase them. Complimentary snacks will be available.
