Don't take away fair traditions

Aug 13, 2013 - Donna Dotsing, Riverton

I am in agreement with the lady who wrote about canceling the pie contest at the Fremont County fair this year. A lot of good, old traditions at the fair are being wiped out with no good reason, or even being talked about.

Could changes like this be put to vote of some kind, either before they happen or maybe after they have been taken away so that the public can have a say in whether they should be brought back? I don't think most people would have wanted to lose the pies.

I know what my vote would be. Bring back the pie contest and the other good fair traditions that have been taken away.
