Aug 16, 2013 - The Associated PressCHEYENNE -- The chairman of a special House committee investigating state schools Superintendent Cindy Hill's management of the Wyoming Education Department is seeking confidential information contained in an earlier inquiry.
House Speaker Tom Lubnau made the request to Gov. Matt Mead this week.
Depending on its findings, the Special Investigative Committee could recommend impeachment proceedings against Hill.
The investigation of Hill was launched after a recent inquiry reported a number of issues with how Hill managed the agency, including possible misuse of federal funds. However, the report released through the governor's office contained many pages that were withheld from public view.
