Mar 25, 2012 - StaffFormer Riverton resident Karolyn Rowell, 57, died in Elko, Nev., on Friday, March 9, 2012, with family by her side. Services and inurnment will be at a later date in Riverton.
Karolyn Eells was born in Gree-ley, Colo., on April 21, 1954. She lived most of her early years in Riv-erton and moved to Elko in 1990.
Her family said Mrs. Rowell was an accomplished seamstress with skills in sewing, quilting, English smocking, crocheting, and knitting.
She also enjoyed gardening, baking, cross-stitching, fine clothing, home decorating, cookie and cake decorating, singing, listening to music, collecting, and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Tim Rowell; daughter Brandy Zumhofe and husband William; grandchildren Christa Key, Kaylene Key-Zumhofe and Tyler Zumhofe; her husband, Robert Rowell; brother Paul Eells; sister Joy Dewey; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy; her mother, Mildred Eells; her father; William Eells.
