When the Wyoming State Fair opened in Douglas in August 1969, these three Fremont County girls were there.

Sali Allen of Lander, Margie McIntosh of the rural Split Rock area, and Jeanie Shirley of Riverton earned the right to represent Fremont County in the home economics judging competition.

All three qualifiaed after demonstrating their expertise in evaluating 4-H food, clothing and home improvement projects at the Fremont County Fair, and the trip to the state fair followed.

Alternates for spots on the Fremont County judging team were Signe Warpness and Luann McFarland.

In addition to the winners and alternates, the remaining top senior competitors were Kenna Myers, Kay Dela, Jackie Hall, Sharon Butler and Karen Anderson.
