Aug 29, 2013 - Staff

Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. is helping in the battle to fight hunger with its Fifth Annual "Flyin' 4 Food" campaign to benefit the Fremont County Good Samaritan Center in Riverton.

In honor of Hunger Action Month, when donors bring any non-perishable food item to the Great Lakes counter throughout the month of September, they will be eligible for a chance to win one of four round-trip tickets between Riverton and Denver.

Only one entry per person, per week is permitted. Donations will be accepted 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Riverton Regional Airport, 4800 Airport Road. Weekend hours are limited.

Today, there are more than 48 million Americans (16.2 million children) who go hungry. In fact, 14.5 percent of all households within the United States are struggling with not having enough food.
