BLAIR

Quin Blair, 101, of Cody, died of natural causes Saturday, Aug. 24, at his home. Services will begin with a family prayer at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, with services at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stake center.

DUERKSEN

Kenneth B. Duerksen, 64, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Salt Lake City. An open house will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Lander VFW Club. Mr. Duerksen's friends are invited to attend and share pictures and memories with his family.

Emergency calls

In Riverton Police Department reports Thursday to Friday morning:

- Arrest records were not available by press time.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Thursday to Friday morning:

- Rachael Cox, 41, of Riverton, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for failure to appear at about 11 a.m. Thursday on Zuber Road in Riverton.

- The driver of a UPS truck was cited for careless driving at about 9:50 a.m. Thursday on U.S. Highway 20 north of Shoshoni. According to reports, the woman was driving erratically and passing vehicles in no-passing zones.

- Firefighters responded to reports that a vehicle was on fire at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday on Honor Farm Road. Officials said the brakes were smoking, and no flames were involved. Initial reports said the vehicle was a white dump truck.

- During this timeframe the Fremont County Emergency Dispatch Center took 62 calls for service. County ambulances were dispatched nine times and area fire departments responded to four calls for help. Five people were booked into the Fremont County Detention Center for charges, including one for driving under the influence, two felony charges and 14 misdemeanor charges. The center currently is responsible for 169 inmates, including 156 at the facility, nine in substance abuse treatment programs, one on home detention and three elsewhere.
