Farmers markets are amenities to Riverton that make the community a better place
Sep 4, 2013 - Margaret Harless, Riverton
I want to express my appreciation for both the farmers markets -- Wednesday and Saturday.
The fresh, local, delicious and reasonably priced produce is great. It also is a treat to have the baked goods, including gluten-free, honey, jelly and sauces, and meats, as well as all the wonderful ready-to-eat foods
Additionally, many handmade crafts, jewelry and textile products are available.
Each market is an amenity for Riverton and a boon to these small businesses.
I am grateful to the Riverton City Council for allowing the Wednesday afternoon markets to continuing its present location.
I try on Wednesdays, when I go, to buy something from a downtown merchant as well, which actually is convenient as I can combine errands.
Thanks to all the volunteers for making these markets possible, thus making Riverton an even better place to live.
