Coleen Kathryn Coleman, 52, died Friday, Aug. 30. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lander. A light lunch will be served before proceeding to Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton for internment.
Darrel Dean Wooledge, 87, of Sturgis, S.D., died Wednesday, Sept. 4, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Fort Meade. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Sturgis, S.D., with the Rev. Kay Jennings officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
Monster Truck Show, sponsored by Mega Promotions, is at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, 1010 Fairgrounds Drive, Riverton.
Picnic on the Pass, sponsored by the Wyoming Wilderness Association, is in the Shoshone National Forest, DuNoir via Bonneville Pass. Hikers can join Dick and Judy Inberg on a six-mile, round-trip hike that will bring participants to the top of Bonneville Pass overlooking the DuNoir recommended wilderness area. Lander Fly-In is 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hunt Field, Lander. Admission is free. A pancake breakfast will be available at a nominal fee; other refreshments (water and pop) also will be available for purchase throughout the day. Three aerobatic pilots will show off their skills while the always popular flour-bombing and spot landing contests also will be held. Attendees can enjoy the tethered hot air balloon rides and the car show, raffles and prizes. Young Eagle Flight sign-up will be Saturday, with flights taking place the next day. Second Annual Shoshone Rose Casino Powwow is 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Shoshone Rose Casino, 5670 Highway 287.
Second Annual Fish Feed and Parking Lot Party is 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Shoshoni Senior Center, 214 E. Second St., Shoshoni. Tickets are $7 and include dinner --all you can eat walleye fillets, brisket, slaw, salad, roll, dessert and drink --and a performance of Lost Spring Band. In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Wednesday to Thursday morning:
- Holly Wolcott, 44, of Dubois, was arrested for false reporting to authorities at about 6:50 p.m. Wednesday on Hough Street in Dubois. The incident began as a family fight.
- During this timeframe the Fremont County Emergency Dispatch Center took 59 calls for service, including one involving a motor vehicle accident. County ambulances were dispatched 20 times and area fire departments responded to two calls for help. Eight people were booked into the Fremont County Detention Center for charges, including one for driving under the influence, three other alcohol related charges and 14 misdemeanor charges. The center currently is responsible for 169 inmates, including 155 at the facility, nine in substance abuse treatment programs, one on home detention and four elsewhere.
