David Ronald Moss Jr.

David "Soupis" Ronald Moss Jr. died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, in Riverton. He was 25 years old.

A wake will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete with Catholic clergy officiating. Burial will follow at Friday Cemetery.

David Ronald Moss Jr. was born July 12, 1988, in Lander, the son of David R. Moss Sr. and Victoria Rose Willow.

He attended Wyoming Indian elementary and junior high schools. He then attended Lander Valley High School.

He spent most of his life on the Wind River Indian Reservation, and he was an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe.

He was of the Catholic faith and would attend church when he could.

His family said he enjoyed going to powwows, Wyoming Indian Chiefs basketball games and the casinos where he would meet new people and meet up with friends. He looked forward to the Arapaho Sundance and enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos. His family said he was a well-liked person, had a lot of friends across the reservation, and dearly loved his niece Morning Star and thought of her as his own daughter. He also loved spending time with his cousins, and he enjoyed family gatherings.

He is survived by his mother, Victoria (Vicki) Moss; daughter Morning Star Bravehawk; sisters Adrian Moss and Agnes Moss and her companion Curtis; brother Thomas Rueben; nieces Talyanna and Elizabeth; aunts Janis Moss, Frances BlackBear, Corwin BlackBear, Rebecca Moss and Eliza Moss; uncles Rodney Willow, Ruben Willow, Wesley Willow, Cheryl Willow, Darrel Moss Sr., Cletus Moss, Martha Moss, Weldon Dale Moss, Mandy Moss and Rapheal Norse; cousins Mitchell Moss, Deidre Moss, Kaylo Moss, Kendall J. Moss III, Darrell Moss Jr., Ivora James, Wendell Moss, Theodore Moss, John Moss, Chrislynn Moss, Aleecia Moss, Ivy Arthur, Abby Moss and Leah Moss; grandmothers Susanna Oldman, Rosella Moss, Anita Moss, Gloria Wheeler, Larry Wheeler, JoEtta Brown, Charles Brown, Ardith Addison, Maxine Moss, Ursula Aragon and Robert Aragon; grandfathers Leonard Moss, Alice Moss, Donald Moss, Linda Moss, Alonzo Moss, Nelson Moss and Emma Moss; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; the Antelope families in Washington and the Stewart family in Crow Agency, Mont.

He was preceded in death by his father, David R. Moss Sr.; grandparents Oliver Willow, Evelyn Willow, Kendall J. Moss Sr. and Ivora Mary Antelope; great-grandparents Herman J. Moss and Rosie B. Moss; and David Willow, John Willow Sr., Margaret Headley, Ralph Antelope, Mary Antelope, Pfc. Weldon D. Moss, Medrick Moss, Norman Moss, Charles Moss, Richard Moss, Raphael Moss, Harold Moss, Ruby Willow, Victoria Friday, Julie Brown, Delores Moss, Tekawitha SunRhodes, Eileen Jo C'Bearing, Wendall G. Moss, Kendall J. Moss Jr., Weldon H. Moss, Herman J.
