Hazelwood makes dean's list
Dr. Keith Stenehjem, vice president for Academic Affairs at Mayville State University, announces Joyce Hazelwood, of Riverton, has been listed on the dean's list for the fall semester of 2011 at Mayville State University, Mayville, N.D.
Students selected for the dean's list must have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and successfully completed a minimum of 12 graded credit hours of regular academic credit from Mayville State.
Foundation raises more than $43K
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation concluded the calendar drawing in Wyoming with more than $43,000 raised to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife and their habitat.
With more than 19 chapters across the state of Wyoming, the RMEF calendars offered purchasers an opportunity to win $50 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well as monthly prizes of firearms, optics, jewelry and a year-end grand price of $5,000.
Winners of the $5,000 grand price were Brandon and Katie Romer, of Riverton. Donae Bezanson, Wyoming State Volunteer Co-chair, and Jim and Phyllis Penzien, chapter co-chairs of the Wind River Chapter, presented the Romers with a check Dec. 11.
The Wyoming RMEF volunteers are conducting a drawing for a $30,000 vehicle voucher, good toward any vehicle at any Fremont Motors Dealerships, along with 12 other cash prizes. Wyoming has placed second in the nation in fundraising efforts the past five years and is hoping to finish in first over California.
Bappe gets degree in equine writing
BILLINGS -- Bethany Bappe, of Pavillion, completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Equine Writing and Publications at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. Bappe maintained a cumulative 4.0 GPA.
Bappe completed her degree in December and will walk with the 2012 graduating class. Most recently she received high honors for the fall 2011 semester.
Bappe is the daughter of Becky and Mark Bappe, of Pavillion, and graduated from Wind River High School in 2008.

The dean's list is an honor roll of undergraduate students who earn 12 or more credits which are not of a Pass/No Pass nature and who earn a grade point average of 3.50 or better.

The Office of Academic Affairs at Black Hills State University has released the dean's list for the fall 201 semester. A total of 720 students maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or above while taking at least 12 credit hours to be named to the list this semester. Students are listed by hometown or current place of residence.
