Kincaid L. Duran

Kincaid L. Duran died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. He was 43 years old.

A wake and Native American Church services will be Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Alberta Goggles' home, 1180 17 Mile Road, Arapahoe. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Yellow Calf Cemetery, Ethete.

Kincaid Lee Duran was born Nov. 8, 1969, in Lawton, Okla., the son of Alfred J. Duran Sr. and Gloria Mae S. Eagle.

He graduated from St. Stephen's Indian High School in St. Stephen's.

His family said he enjoyed drawing and spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time he played at the Wind River Hotel and Casino.

He is survived by his children, Emmanuel Duran of Ethete, Bo V. Duran and Alexandria K. Duran of Kyle, S.D.; grandson Dalynn Duran of Fort Washakie; brothers Newell (Jaime) Duran of Casper, Alfred (April) Duran Jr. of Riverton, Verdale Duran of Arapahoe, Kenneth Duran of Riverton, Randolph Duran Sr. of Arapahoe, Ora Little of Lander and Forrest Duran Sr. of Fort Washakie; sisters Cassandra Duran, Morietta Duran of Arapahoe, Cori Duran of Riverton and Norma Condlin of Lawton, Okla.; aunts Floita Eagle, Alberta (John) Goggles, Evaneline C'Hair, Lorrenia Mosqueda, Mary Shakespeare, Debbie Shakespeare, Cheri Shakespeare, June Shakespeare, Donna (Llyod) Cummings, Ava (Delmar) Hamilton, Mary (Jack) Herrera, Noreen Vigil and Loreen Medina; uncles Everett Eagle Sr., William Shakespeare III, Claude Duran Sr. and Delmer Duran Sr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and the extended families of Duran, Armajo, Shakespeare, Blackburn, Sitting Eagle, Gould, Oldman, Hamilton and Franklin of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Keller W. Duran Sr. and Virgil Franklin Duran; grandparents Joseph and Mary Armajo-Duran, Marion Eagle, Mary Rose Shakespeare Eagle, Anthony and Odelia Sitting Eagle; uncles Edward Eagle Sr., Thomas Duran, John Duran, Joseph Duran and Kenneth Gould; and aunts Cordelia Eagle Goggles, Theresa Roman, Genevieve Whiteplume, Marcella Ridgley, Marcella Gould and Myrna Clyde.
