Sep 13, 2013 - By Craig Blumenshine, Staff WriterThe Riverton Wolverines took advantage of the speed and power of their rushing attack and used an opportunistic defense which accounted for two touchdowns and a safety to down the Green River Wolves 41-20 Friday night at Wolverine Field.
It was the first win for first year coach Pat Patterson, and the win evens the Wolverine's season record to 1-1. It was also Riverton's first win over Green River since 2001.
Junior tailback Tristan White rushed for 129 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchdowns. Senior running back Dylan Lewis bashed and bruised for 99 on 16 carries and also scored for Riverton.
Austin Patterson scooped and scored and Brandon Fullerton picked off a pass late in the game and also scored to seal the win for the Wolverines.
Riverton will wrap up its non-conference schedule next Friday night at Wolverine Field when the Cody Broncs come to town.
