Sep 15, 2013 - StaffNational Theatre Live presents a major new production of William Shakespeare's "Othello" at 1 p.m. Sept. 28 at Lander Library, 451 N. Second St., Lander.
The suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Adrian Lester ("Henry V," BBC's "Hustle") takes the title role, with Rory Kinnear ("The Last of the Haussmans," "James Bond: Skyfall"), as the duplicitous Iago.
Othello, newly married to Desdemona --a woman half his half his age --is appointed leader of a major military operation. Iago, passed over for promotion by Othello in favor of the young Cassio, persuades Othello that Cassio and Desdemona are having an affair. The classic play demonstrates the destructive power of jealousy.
The presentation is supported by the Wyoming Arts Council and the Fremont County Library System.
