The Riverton City Council received an open invitation Sept. 3 during the regular council meeting for the grand re-opening celebration on Nov. 1 of Mammoth Music at 318 E. Main Street in downtown Riverton, beginning at 11 a.m.

Store owner Bernard Masson said the much talked-about sign and front facade in the shape of a guitar is one of the big changes people sure "can't miss."

"It's really exciting to see someone investing in our downtown area," Mayor Ron Warpness said.

The downtown music store celebrated an earlier grand opening in May 2012 after ownership changed.

A year before the 2012 grand opening celebration, the business was purchased from longtime owner Deb Stone.
