LVHS dropped to 0-3 on the season. Jackson is 2-1.

The game was the final non-conference battle of the season of Lander.

"Our kids are continuing to work very hard," LVHS coach Doug Hughes said. "I believe that we are getting better each week. We are starting to see these results in the passing game. We still need to be able to run the ball if we expect to compete against strong teams."

LVHS hosts Torrington this Friday night to begin the Class 3-A East conference.

"With conference play beginning everyone gets to wipe the slate clear and start over," Hughes said. "We need to take advantage of this and improve to put ourselves in a good position in the conference."

Torrington is 2-1 on the season.

"Torrington is going to be another challenge for our team," Hughes said. "They run a lot of one-back sets. They rely on their quarterback to carry the ball and get it to their receivers on quick routes."
