Sep 24, 2013 - StaffKathryn "Kathi" Lynn Tibbets died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, in Wichita, Kan., after a five-year battle with breast cancer. She was 45 years old.
An informal gathering with a light supper will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the Monarch Room of the Pronghorn Lodge in Lander.
Kathryn (Kathi) Lynn Tibbets was born March 9, 1968.
She graduated from Valley Center High School in Valley Center, Kan. Later she attended Garden City Community College in Garden City, Kansas.
She lived in Lander for seven years before returning to Kansas so she "could be a grandma."
While in Lander, she worked at Pamida and H&R Block.
She is survived by her daughter, Brooke Tolle; son-in-law David Phillips; grandson Damien Phillips, all of Newton, Kan.; mother and stepfather Sue and Wes Bell-Milby of Pavillion; stepmother Elaine Tibbets of Newton, Kan.; and many friends in Kansas and Wyoming.
