Milestone for WINhealth

WINhealth achieved the first step in accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

WINhealth received notice this week that it has been awarded "interim" status with accreditation expected to take effect Oct. 15. It will be the first health plan headquartered in Wyoming to attain this first level of accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

NCQA Health Plan Accredita-tion is a nationally recognized evaluation that purchasers, regulators, and consumers can use to assess health plans.

WINhealth provides residents of Wyoming with a choice of doctors, healthy living tools, and affordable plans .

National Committee for Quality Assurance Health Plan Accredita-tion is governed by a Board of Directors that includes employers, consumer and labor representatives, health plans, quality experts, policy makers, and representatives from organized medicine.

NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality.
