Isabell 'Izzy' Wolf

Isabell "Izzy" Wolf, of Riverton, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Help for Health Hospice Home in Riverton. She was 73 years old.

Per her request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services.

Isabell Leone Mitchell was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Malad City, Idaho, the daughter of Oliver and Belva (Williams) Mitchell. She grew up in Malad City, Idaho, and Dillon, Mont., and she graduated from Beaverhead High School in Dillon, Mont.

Forty-three years ago, while she was on her way to Park City, Utah, she became lost and ended up in Evanston. She met Melvin L. Wolf in Evanston, and they went to a dance. Twelve days later, on Dec. 4, 1970, they were married in Evanston and were each other's best friend for more than four decades.

The couple had lived in Rock Springs before coming to Riverton in 1983.

Mrs. Wolf retired from Brunton after working there for more than 20 years.

Her family said she enjoyed gardening, her flowers, going to lunches with friends, socializing and going for rides around Fremont County. She especially enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Debbie.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin; her four-legged friend Annie; brother Don Mitchell and his wife Jo of Dillon, Mont.; brothers-in-law Myron Wolf and his wife Theressa of Superior and Marvin Wolf and his wife Sandy of Riverton; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Belva, and her brother, Calvin Mitchell.
