SALT LAKE CITY --Officials with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources are mourning a 37-year-old employee who died in an off-duty car accident in Wyoming.

Agency officials say Sgt. Keith Fullenkamp was returning from hunting elk in Colorado on Tuesday afternoon when a semitrailer veered into his lane and struck his pickup head-on north of Baggs.

The semitrailer burst into flames and caused a four-hour road closure on Wyoming Route 789. The 54-year-old truck driver was taken to a hospital in Craig, Colo.

Wyoming troopers were investigating why the semitrailer crossed the median.
