Yep, this is some great rain we've been having. Too bad it's all running downstream now that the irrigation season is pretty much over.
It's going to do some good for lawns and gardens, and maybe the landscape for little while, but summer is over and winter is coming.
This rain is so rare that it is a shame to watch it just flow by. I wonder if our state will ever get serious about the idea of some more upstream water storage in the Wind River drainage.
A lot of that great water from the sky this month could be stored up in a nice little reservoir all winter to hold as insurance for when it gets dry again.
And we all know that is going to happen a lot more often than the kind of weather we're having this month.
