Beverly Jo DeVries, of Atlantic City, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at home.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, in the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Atlantic City.

Beverly Jo DeVries was born March 1, 1957, the daughter of Kenneth Byrd and Elleen (Lewis) Byrd in Colorado Springs, Colo.

On June 16, 1984, she married Ben DeVries in Green River.

She worked as a beautician for 12 years.

Her family said she loved to hunt, fish, travel, rock hound, craft, cook and play games with her grandchildren. Her family was the most important thing to her.

She is survived by her spouse, Ben DeVries; son Joshua Miller; brother Frank (Cyndi) Byrd; sister Cheryl (Rick) Hodge; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Clinton Byrd; and sister Nova Porter.

Services are under the direction of Hudson's Funeral Home of Lander.
