Oct 13, 2013 - From staff reportsIn celebration of Celebrate Pro Bono Week, the Fremont County Bar Association has announced it will host Law Night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Carnegie Room, Lander Library, 451 N. Second St.
Law Night is a free legal clinic that will provide the public with brief, one-on-one, initial consultations on any civil (non-criminal) issue such as personal injury; landlord/tenant disputes; divorce or child custody; estate planning; and more.
Volunteer attorneys from the Fremont County Bar Association will donate their time to meet with walk-in clients on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments are not necessary.
"We hope that this is a service the county bar can provide to the community to help address some basic questions and to familiarize people with the legal system as it relates to specific problems they may have," said Devon Petersen, the president of the Fremont County Bar Association.
