Moss enrolls at Fort Lewis

Ronnie Moss, of St. Stephen's, started coursework Aug. 30 at Fort Lewis College. Moss's major is exercise science, exercise specialist option.

Fort Lewis College is a crossroads of education and adventure located on a mesa above Durango, Colo.

Sims named Postmaster

Former Riverton Postmaster Gary Sims has been named the Postmaster of Cheyenne.

He is Cheyenne's 25th Postmaster.

Sims was named the Cheyenne Volunteer of the Year in 1984 for his work with the Office of Youth Alternatives. He began his career in the Postal Service in 1975 as a part-time flexible clerk in Cheyenne. Since then he has served as Postmaster in Newcastle and Riverton and had temporary Postmaster appointments in Casper, Cody, Torrington and Arvada, Colo.. He's been named the Wyoming Postmaster of the Year on two occasions.

Sims currently serves as the Post Office Operations Manager, overseeing the operations at 122 Wyoming Post Offices.

"I've had the privilege to manage thousands of employees throughout my postal career," he said. "But I've never forgotten my roots right here in Cheyenne."
