Oct 31, 2013 - StaffGinger M. Roberts died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Lander Regional Hospital. She was 66 years old.
Traditional Indian funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Rocky Mountain Hall in Fort Washakie with Harrision Shoyo Sr. and Arlen Shoyo officiating. An evening service and wake will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at Rocky Mountain Hall. Interment will be in the Sacajawea Cemetery.
Ginger Mavis Roberts was born Feb. 22, 1947, in Lander, the daughter of the late Mary Louise and Cyrus Roberts Sr.
She attended school in Casper and graduated from Busby, Mont. She was a grandmother at Fort Washakie School.
Her family said she enjoyed doing beadwork, going to the casino, playing video games, cooking, being with her family and friends and listening to the oldies.
She is survived by her son, Patrick (Cathleen) Perry; sister Twila Day; brothers Luther and Willie Roberts; grandchildren Delray, Christine, Cyrus and Noah Perry, Nessa and Keith McLeod, Stonee and Norman Chippewa Jr., Arlis and Alyssa and Keria Perry; nephews Edward Wadda, Burt Guardipee and Delmer Weed; nieces Holly Faulkner and Patsy (Bryan) Peahrora; aunt Nora Honena; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Louis and Cyrus Roberts Sr.; grandparents Marshall and Annie Washakie; brothers Dean and Cyrus Roberts Jr.; daughter Denita Perry; aunt Elizabeth Nagashoah; and brother Everett Roberts.
