Nov 4, 2013 - From staff reportsLaw enforcement officers confiscated 29 grams of marijuana from four individuals who said they had traveled to Colorado to pick up the drug and sell it in Riverton.
The Riverton Police Department made the arrests after they received an anonymous tip of a possibly intoxicated person driving a gold Chevrolet Tahoe near the Pizza Hut parking lot in the 200 block of North Federal Boulevard.
Officers also determined that the driver of the vehicle, Taylor Whitt, 19, of Shoshoni, was under the influence of Xanax. She was arrested on charges of delivering marijuana and using both marijuana and Xanax.
Police reports said passengers Kenneth Klinker, 19, was arrested for delivery, possession and use of the controlled substance; Cody Shinkle, 21, was arrested for delivery of marijuana; and 18-year-old Shyanne Cross-Dailey was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, use of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The three passengers were reported to be from Riverton.
RPD Cpt. Eric Murphy said the individuals cooperated in the arrests and interviews. He also said previous calls in the past couple of weeks regarded possible drug sales going on near the parking lot.
