Nov 4, 2013 - StaffFormer Lander resident John Patrick Blust, 48, of Denver, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013.
He was born in Lander on Oct. 21, 1965, the son of the late Richard C. Blust and Dolores Lewandowski.
Mr. Blust attended schools in Lander, Wyoming and graduated from Lander Valley High School with the class of 1984. He also attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
He also had lived in Green River.
He served in the United State Army from 1989 to 1997 during the Persian Gulf War.
Mr. Blust worked as a computer systems analyst.
Survivors include one brother, Dick Blust Jr. and wife Lorna of Rock Springs; a sister, Jane Harner, and husband Cole of Van Buren, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Brian Blust.
Cremation has taken place, and inurnment will be held at the Fort Morgan National Cemetery in Denver.
