Nov 10, 2013 - From staff reportsCrack sealing and other work on more than 136 miles of central and northwest Wyoming highways is under way, according to Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Robert Scheidemantel in Riverton.
Citizens should expect traffic delays of up to 10 minutes as they encounter the crack sealing work in Fremont, Hot Springs, Washakie, Big Horn and Park counties between November and February.
"All work is weather permitting, and the contractor will be moving around quite a bit over the next three months," Scheidemantel said.
The contractor is currently crack sealing Gas Hills Road (Wyoming 136) east of Riverton, and is scheduled to move to U.S. 26/287 between Diversion Dam and Dubois between Nov. 25 and Dec. 12. In 2014, the contractor is scheduled to work on Wyoming 789 between Lander and Riverton, Wyoming 28 over South Pass, Wyoming 134 near Pavillion, and Wyoming 132 near Ethete.
