Nov 13, 2013 - StaffTheodore "Teddy" Washington, of Arapahoe, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at Riverton Memorial Hospital. He was 60 years old.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Arapaho Catholic Cemetery in St. Stephen's. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at St. Stephen's Catholic church with a wake to follow at the Leo Addison Residence, 750 Rendezvous Road.
Theodore Washington was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Thermopolis, the son of John Buckman and Patricia Leona Washington. He was a lifelong resident of Arapahoe.
He worked at the Arapaho Ranch and in Salt Lake City for a short time.
His family said he enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casinos, artwork, welding, watching Western movies, practicing the Native traditions, taking drives and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Washington, Leona Buckman, Marian Buckman, Beatrice Buckman, Georgetta Revere, Elva Buckman, Elvina Buckman, Miranda Hanway, Rebecca Hanway and Vera Buckman; aunts Pansy Buckman and Zella Peka; uncles Thomas Buckman, Burt Addison, Cruz Peka and Coreen and Leah Addison; nieces Margaret C'Bearing, Patricia C'Bearing, Stephanie C'Bearing, Toni Alvarez, Bobbie Mae Fox, Lillian Fox, Sarah Witt and Leona Witt; and grandchild Adrian Addison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patricia Washington and John Buckman; wife Ina Mae Washington; son Adrian Addison; brothers Alfred Buckman, Edward Buckman and George Buckman; sisters Phillas Tillman, Betty Addison, Raniona White, Polly Hanaway and Hogan Hanaway; uncle Carl Washington; and grandson Eli J C'Bearing.
