For the second year in a row the River Rats hockey team defeated Laramie to win the Class B state championship for high school-aged players. Team members waved during the fire-truck parade Monday through Riverton. After beating undefeated Sheridan in semifinals, the River Rats faced Laramie on Sunday in Rock Springs, winning 8-7. Sam McMenamy and Sam Shepardson were selected as forwards for the Wyoming all-sState team.
